The inspiration for this stole came from a recurring dream the client had about a Bedouin tent and a figure kneeling at the feet of Jesus, their arms are outstretched to receive a vestment that is plain on the front, with a cascading rainbow on the back. This dream had a real significance for the client & I tried to interpret the scene as best I could.
This stole is created using ivory silk Dupion with machine-appliqued images outlined in complementary colours. This is an example of a ‘scenic’ stole.
