My latest commission has given me a couple of new challenges, musical notation and words. My client, a cellist and singer, was very keen that the musical notation was ‘correct’ in its appearance and not circles on sticks. I printed off the piece of music she wanted & have tried my best to reproduce it accurately. The other element I was to include were the words ‘Sing joyfully unto God our strength’. I had originally thought I would couch down 3ply twist thread but I wanted the letters to widen & narrow as though written by an itallic pen & I rralised I couldn’t do this with the thread, so my machine it was. I am actually very pleased with how they turned out.
Only a little peep as this commission has not reached my client yet.

Hi, my vicar from St Mary Magdeline, Alsager has passed your details over to me, I will be licensed as Lay Reader on October 12 at Chester Cathedral. I haven’t got a readers scarf and would like to consider something bespoke. If you are able to do this I would be grateful if not please let me know.
Thanks
