Yesterday I visited one of my favourite trade shows, the Knitting & Stitching Show at the Harrogate Exhibition Centre. After an early start and a few queues I arrived at the centre ready to explore, I just love this show!
It’s a real mix of stalls selling everything you can possible desire for knitting or stitching projects to exhibitions of the most amazing pieces of creative kneedlework.
Although an important part of my day was to source a couple of items for my next commission, it’s really just an excuse for an enjoyable day out, mooching about amongst my favourite things, threads, fabrics, beads ……
I found the couching thread I wanted on the Golden Hinde stall, I also get my kid leather & Jap thread from them online, but this was an opportunity to see the colours together & how they would work on my design.
So with my thread bought it was on to looking at beautiful & interesting things.
I got quite giddy when I came across Georgina Bellamy or https://thatembroiderygirl.com @thatembroiderygirl on Facebook & Instagram. Her work is amazing and rather hard to describe so I will let my photos speak for themselves!! I have been following her for quite a while & it was lovely to actually meet her.
