I Will Pour Out My Spirit Stole
This commission was for an Ordination stole based on the verse ‘I will pour out my Spirit on all people.’ Acts 2:17.
It began with the idea of tongues of fire rising from the bottom and gradually evolved into people with their arms raised and the tongues of fire rising above them.
The figures and flames are machine appliqued Dupion silk with the wording worked in couched 3 ply twist gold thread. The neck seam was finished with a simple cross of appliqued Dupion silk.
