It was very important to this client that the ‘rainbow’ was the main focus of the stole, as the importance of being there for everyone was paramount to them.
I was asked to make it ‘swoosh’ across from one side to the other, starting from the dove of the Holy Spirit at the top, down to the cross on the bottom of the other side and to include the new colours of the Progress pride flag, of black, brown, blue, pink and white.
It is worked on a green silk Dupion background, with machine embroidered applique, stitched with gold metallic thread.
