This is an example of a traditional stole with very familiar Christian symbols Alpha & Omega, IHS, a Celtic cross, Chi Rho and a Lamb of God with its foot on a sand timer. The significance of the sand timer is, I think a reference to ‘the hour has come’ but I might be wrong, so would love it if someone can clarify this for me.
The stole is created using a limited colour pallet of two shades of gold. The main body of the stole is ivory Dupion silk.
