This is my first commission from ‘across the pond’ and came from an Ordinand in Pennsylvania. They wanted something quite traditional, the verses from 1 Chorinthians 11:23-26 being their inspiration. The design was to include the chalice, grapes, wheat, bread, a crown of thorns and three nails. The word REMEMBER was to feature on the bottom of each side of the stole.
This stole was created using ivory Dupion silk with silk appliqued symbols, stitched down with complementary coloured threads.
