Persian Cross

This very striking Ordination stole began with a very simple brief, to represent the client’s Iranian heritage. The Persian blue was to be the dominant colour and they would like a dove to be included. I did some research into Persian art and found the Persian cross which became my starting point. I wanted there to be ‘movement’ and ‘dynamism’ in the design and I am extremely happy with the result. The colours make this design ‘sing’ I feel.

The stole is worked on ivory Dupion silk with machine appliqued embroidery and has a cotton lining with Deacon fastening.
