I am always open to new commissions and although I have a limited number of pieces I can create each year it’s always best to get in touch with me to check I have availability and to see whether I can make your ideas a reality.
I love the design process and working with potential clients to create a design that they love and wish to commission. How I Work
Following an inquiry I’ll try to learn as much information about you and your ideas as possible and work up a pencil sketch design to show you how your finished piece might look.
I’ll work up a few contrasting options/designs for you to choose from before we go through a refining processes. I’ll then send you example threads/material swatches so you can see the quality of the materials I use.
If you’re happy, we then agree a price and expected timescales and I get to work.
All my pieces are designed and produced from scratch by hand so the whole process often takes 6-12 weeks, though I can work faster if a specific deadline needs to be hit. I would always advise though to contact me as early as you can so that I can fit your piece into my work schedule.
Pricing
Pricing is completely dependent on the design you choose and the amount of work it will be for me to produce the design, it is also dependant on the urgency of your piece.
When considering your design I’ll give you options in how each section might be produced and how that could affect the cost, however for an indication of my pricing please see the table below.
I only create about 12 items per year and my order book is often full for the immediate 3 months so please contact me as soon as you can if you would like to commission me. This is especially important if you are being Ordained and are looking for a piece to commemorate this, I don’t like to disappoint my clients, so getting in contact early is really important.
Bespoke Stoles

Expamples include symbol designs with minimal stitching and simple designs.

May include large amounts of hand stitching, couching, multiple re-designs, full length and scenic designs.

The above price list is presented as a very basic indication as each piece is priced individually and I will work up a design that matches the budget you have in mind. Prices include up to 3 individual designs + minor adjustments to these designs.
For substantial redesigns / re-working of designs after the initial 3 have been provided there will be a charge of £50per new set of 3 designs.
Timescales
On average it can take anything from 1-3 months to complete a design, including design time. This is dependant on my current workload and the number of commissions I am working on.
