St Alban Stole

My latest commission is a gold embroidered white dupion silk stole on a white cotton backing. The design is based upon the stonework of the chancel window of St Alban the Martyr Church in London as viewed from the outside. The Stole also features a cross on the nape of the neck based on the one on the roof of the church. It was completed in November 2019.

    1. Hi Claire, I don’t know if you got my reply to your enquiry but just in case you didn’t, I would be delighted to talk to you about your ordination stole. It would be a great help if you can have a think about what you would like your finished stole to look like, symbolism, colour, wide or narrow etc. I mainly work in dupion silks as the colours are so beautiful and machine embroidery but I have also incorprated some goldwork techniques in to a few of my commissions. It would also be useful if you have given some thought to your budget as this will impact on what I am able to do for you. If your design requires a lot of hand stitching for example, this will increase the price.
I look forward to hearing from you
